I Called 9-1-1

The first time I called 9-1-1 it wasn't necessarily well received, remember here? At least the operators were polite to me this time.

So, Sassy and I were headed to the SLC Farmer's Market travelling north on I-15 and we saw a young boy, maybe 12 or 13 years old walking southbound on the side of the freeway, along the barricade. I hesitated once, then twice, then once it was clear that there were no on-ramps or vehicles nearby, I dialed the three numbers.

That's suspicious and concerning right? What in the world could this kid be doing there? He was at the very least temporarily confused and at the worst, he may have been unwell. Whatever his story, I felt some satisfaction that I didn't just pass this by and allow something crazy to happen.

Of course now, I'm dying to know the rest of the story. Did the cops find him? Did the cops find him safe? Were they able to help the kid out and prevent anything from happening to him? I guess I'll never know.

I panicked when I read the title of this post in my blog list feed. But then I realized, if something happened to you, I would be finding out about it via your own blog. Hopefully the kid is ok though.
